New Year's 2012-13!
I was hoping to get this done sometime after Christmas, and we were talking about starting after Paetin was back in school.. but on New Year's Eve, I just couldn't wait any longer! I started sanding and got to work on the newest "redo" in the house! Our kitchen! I started that night so when Eddy was hurrying home to me, he had something to check out! And well... he does not like it. :( It is too late to change it, and I think it is actually growing on him.. but still. It hurts that after a full week's worth of work (since we have SOO many cabinets and you have to do front and back AND let them dry) that he doesn't like the results. In my defense, we have already stained all of the other built in woods in the house.. so now it just matches! And.. I love it! (;
Not only did I get going, and finish this in a very timely manner considering that I have three little ones home with me all day, but we got our very first New Year's Eve kiss at midnight! <3 That alone makes me think it'll be a wonderful year! It took 5 years to happen, but it finally did. (; I think this just got me project hungry though, since I've finished I've started on three new big house projects that will be finished up in the beginning of February sometime. I guess New Year's Eve really did set the tone for this year! 2013 is going to be one productive one at that! (; Now we just have to add the brushed silver knobs and handles in to kitchen, and we can call it complete until I get to decorating!
