The Lord is GOOD! ♥♡♥♡♥

For anyone who reads this, I may have mentioned here and there about my dad struggling while having MS. I just HAD to take a moment to post the most wonderful Facebook status that he shared today. This man has been a rock in my life, even when I haven't wanted him in it, and I don't know what I will do when the time comes for him to leave this world. But SO glad to know he will continue to live in peace, and no pain! And from seeing this, it brings tears to my eyes in hope that it will happen here on Earth where I can enjoy his freedom as well.<3

2nd Quarter Principal's List! (:

We are sooo proud of Paetin! During the 1st Quarter of school, she received an "Outstanding Achievement Award" for academically standing out in her class. This quarter she was recognized both in the "Top 5" for improvement on criteria, AND "Principal's List"! These were based on assessment tests taken at the beginning of the year, and now. (: Honor roll list was ranked for just above the state average at 38 for LNF (Letter Name Frequency) and 20 LSF (Letter Sound Frequency). Principal's List was ranked of a low of 50 LNF and 40 LSF! We are soo proud of her! And to see that she has increased 49 LNF landing her in the top 5 for her class on improvement! I only hope that Miss Zakarian enjoys her enthusiasm and hard work as much as we do!! (:

Rylee Anne turned 1 (;

Rylee Anne did it! She made it to the one year mark. Way to go, little 'Roo! She isn't walking, but in the last week alone, she has gone from tummy crawling, to pulling to a stand and walking when holding your hands.. so.. who knows? Maybe it's just a week away! (; We did the smash cake a few days before, so she didn't really get her first cake on her actual birthday. But she enjoyed this one none the less! Paetin and Camy were both so excited to sing "Happy Birthday" to their little sister, and Rylee's face lit up with joy at the whole scenario.  I'm just thrilled that Eddy got to be there for both the smash, and her actual Birthday.<3

Paetin's Pot of Gold!

I really did mean to post this BEFORE Winter Break.. but I forgot to get a photo, and really, this is more than photo appropriate! (; Paetin was the first kid in her class to pass all of her rainbow words! So.. rainbow words are the 60 "sight" words that they want to kids to learn. There are ten words per color on the rainbow, making 60 words. Paetin had been bugging and bugging Miss Zakarian to test her on her yellow words, but she didn't have the flash cards ready for testing. So when she got them done, she did all of them! And Paetin just did one color after the next, and tested all the way to her gold pot! (; She is so proud of herself, and tells us that she won the race.. it is sad, everything to her in a competition, but I guess whatever motivates her must work! She works so hard both at home, and at school! We couldn't be more proud of her!

Rylee's Smash Cake!

Rylee Anne turned one year-old yesterday (the 8th)! So a couple days before we arranged to have a smash cake photo shoot! We wanted to do something special for her one year photos, since we always do the year mark photos for the girls, and hadn't done any sort of announcements for her. We figure this way, we'll have super cute, and "cakey" photos to send out as "Tea for 1!" announcements! I found this outfit on etsy and just fell completely in love with it! I told Edward over and over again how perfect the dusty rose color would go with her skin tone, and I just adore lace and ruffles, so it really couldn't get any better that than! (;

New Year's 2012-13!

I was hoping to get this done sometime after Christmas, and we were talking about starting after Paetin was back in school.. but on New Year's Eve, I just couldn't wait any longer! I started sanding and got to work on the newest "redo" in the house! Our kitchen! I started that night so when Eddy was hurrying home to me, he had something to check out! And well... he does not like it. :( It is too late to change it, and I think it is actually growing on him.. but still. It hurts that after a full week's worth of work (since we have SOO many cabinets and you have to do front and back AND let them dry) that he doesn't like the results. In my defense, we have already stained all of the other built in woods in the house.. so now it just matches! And.. I love it! (;
