Wendy on the Shelf

Last year my nephews got a little buddy in the beginning of December. He was an elf, and he lived on a shelf. In fact, the actually named him, "Buddy". (; I know this is a timeless tradition that goes way back.. but needless to say, it's a tradition that is back in full heat this season! Paetin LOVED Buddy, and wanted her own elf desperately. I had such a hard time spending $30 on a stuffed elf and a book, and then getting a skirt if we got a little lady, that even though I wanted to fun of one, I was going to pass it up this year. That is, until, Barnes&Noble hosted little lady elves for $13.49 and free shipping! Heck, even with a $6.00 skirt, that is a lot cheaper! So, I caved, and she was to our house in three short days!

Paetin couldn't wait to meet her little elf! Everyday asking if her little helper was on her way! She needed to know that Santa will know how good she is being this year, both at home, and at school. you see, this trampoline is serious business to her little hearts happiness. (; Well, she came and we quickly met our little elf, read her story and gave her the girls' name of choice, "Wendy". She is a quaint little doll, and Miss Zakarian already knows all about her! I'm pretty sure she is enjoying Paetin's tip top behavior as well. (; She has gone home to Santa all week now, always finding a new place to spy.. I mean, hide. (; Paetin is enjoying her, and Camy always has to kiss her goodnight. We don't touch her, but who can pass up goodnight kisses?! It'll be a shame to pack her up after the season, but in the mean time, the girls love her silly notions. (; She is their Wendy.
