Running BabyPo. (;

Oh jeez! I signed up for more that I'd realized! About three months ago I made the decision to start making and selling my minky blankets; BabyPo Blankets. Well, those three months have sure been a hoot! I am so glad that I made this choice. It is a lot of work, and there are some nights where I am crying over things that really just happen, but it is all worth it. I know it requires a bit more from Eddy, later nights on my end, which lead to a bit more of a hectic morning than we used to have.. but we both agree, that it is all great in the end. I have something of my own to keep my going, and a bit of a personal income to help with those extras that things were a little too tight for before. Like those Christmas stockings I splurged and got! I am surprised with the amount of orders I have received, and the popularity of the "Lovies" I have in WA, at Fidalgo Baby. Thank goodness for Heather and her willingness to carry them for me! **Be sure to check her out if you're ever in the area.** (;

Christmas Projects!

I'm sure by now you all know, that I truly, TRULY, love projects. They make my soul beyond happy. Uplift any fowl mood I may encounter. Give me purpose on a lazy day.. Well.. I think you get the idea; I like projects. (; Christmas is going to be coming up fast and this year I'm hosting a Cookie Exchange and Soup Party! So, I guess it's time to get the house presentable! Eddy of course, is sure to keep the kids out of my hair, so I'm free to work away!
First things first, I had to convince Eddy that our banister HAD to be stained before the party. This of course didn't take much work at all, he knew I was right. Now getting him to help me sand it [a task that is just too much for my little arms to complete on my own **wink, wink**] was another story. Mostly I invited Ben over and he helped me and Eddy knock it out of the way, and then they were free to hang out as I wiped it down and stained away to my hearts content. I won't lie. I think it looks fabulous! Now I can't wait to do the kitchen cabinets [since I've already done all three bathrooms] and add knobs! Though that will have to wait until February when I have a bit more time. (;

A Saturday Thanksgiving. (;

Eddy had to work on Thanksgiving Thursday, and my parents flew in Friday, so we decided we'd celebrate our Thanksgiving two days late, again! I guess this is starting to become a habit for our family! (; I mean, two out of three years is starting a trend. Needless to say, we had a LOVELY time! A couple of people ended up not being able to make it, but my girlfriend Kristen came, my brother's family, and of course us and my parents!<3 We were definitely surrounded by people we love.
Friday night, the cooking started! We had a bit of a pie baking party. Paetin was a great pie crust worker.. well, at least she thought so! And Kristen wanted to learn, so we had a hoot letting everyone pitch in. I mean, who doesn't love a pie? And let's admit it, we ladies, know how to make a pretty damn good one! (: Five pies later, we had breakfast and snacks for days, and you won't find one of our girls complaining! (; The last of them were finished off today, and realistically I have to say that I'm not so sure what to make for breakfast tomorrow.

"How to Cook a Turkey" by Paetin.

Miss Zakarian's class decided to get into the "Holiday" spirit for Thanksgiving with a recipe bash. They all sat down and told Tamara how exactly to make their turkey. I received the paper today that a had all of the students' detailed directions on how to get the best turkey for my feast, from beginning to end. (; I just have to say, these kindergarteners are some seriously creative kids!!

Austin Visits Paetin!

Austin came to town for about five days, and Paetin was SOO pleased to have him! It is SO beyond humbling to realize how truly blessed I am. Not only did Austin do the most selfless thing I've witnessed while allowing Eddy to adopt Paetin, but he has maintained a sober life, and has continued to pursue a relationship with Paetin, while still allowing, and respecting Eddy and me as parents. His brothers and parents have treated all five of my family, as their own, and it is so heart-melting to see how loved all of our girls are. Even by those who have no obligations to them. The Elliot's treat all of us the same, with love, kindness, and support.<3

Thank you, Jimmy Kimmel!

I know that this could be considered mean.. but after seeing the day after Halloween last year on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where all the parents pranked the kids and said that they ate all the candy.. Eddy and I just HAD to do it! Not to mention, Erica egged us on. (; We did it to both Hayden, and Paetin seperately [as Paetin had to get up earlier for school]. Hayden just told us to ask next time.. I mean, who has that much patience about your missing candy when you're six?? Well, Paetin was a little less understanding. I am honored to say, she actually had a loss for words!

Halloween in Wonderland (;

Halloween was something of an event this year. Paetin chose to be the "Queen of Hearts". All because she wanted to say, "off with your head!" LoL.. what a character, right? (; Needless to say, when she picked this, I instantly thought that Camy would make the absolute perfect "Alice". Then lucky Rylee was stuck with being the "Chesshire Cat". We were a family from Wonderland there out. I begged Eddy to dress up as a card of hearts with me, I even has the best way to pull it off. Obviously, it was a no go. But the girls had a wonderful time regardless!! (:
