The San Diego Safari Park! (:

This is a park that I had never been to before. It was pretty cool, but we'd only set aside a couple of hours, thinking that it would be much smaller than it is. Really, you need the whole day for this. Plus, it was much hotter than we had anticipated, so in a sense we were kinda glad to not be there all day. We did the tram ride, and walked around a bit. Really, it will be a place I'd LOVE to go back to in October, when it will be much cooler, and we can set aside more time for it. (:

In a nutshell, my parents and I would call this the breading grounds for the San Diego Zoo. They had over eleven African Elephants in their exhibit, and four or five of them were babies! It was pretty cool. Not to mention, their gorillas had a one-year-old! There was a silver back, a mom and the baby. While the parents we napping, the baby was running in and out of the caves and jumping on them .. poor parents, I can relate. I mean there are plenty of days I just want a nap . . sucks to be parents!! LoL. Jk Jk. If you know me at all, you know that giraffes are my absolute favorite! They had a huge collection of these as well! It was really cool to see so many all together. (: They had a lorikeet aviary to walk through, and they are right there next to you, or climbing on you. These little buggers are LOUD! Their shrieking even had Camy a little nervous, she can recognize a defensive call when she hears one! Lol. They seemed to have a lot of animal interactive shows! We obviously showed up late in the day, so we missed a lot of them, but the one we did catch, was totally worth seeing. A cheetah run. They have a cheetah chase down a toy for a 100 meter sprint, and I'll tell you, I couldn't have gotten a photo of him if I'd tried! [which they tell you not to, cuz you'll only be disappointed and then miss seeing him at all] That was pretty cool to witness! All in all, I would love to spend a hole day at this park, and I definitely plan to very soon! (:
