Our First Family Christmas! (:

This year, was our FIRST Christmas as a family, just us! Last year, I flew home with the girls on Christmas Eve, so I was with my parents, and then my in-laws for the holiday last year. This year, it was just the hubby, the kids, and me. In ways, it was kind've saddening for me, but in others, it was SO nice, to just be our little family. From here on, we can continue on our family's traditions (the ones we like), and make our own. It was a great, relaxing day for us. (:

84 Christmas Cookies Decor!

Alas, Christmas is here! And man, did I feel behind?! Literally, Christmas is five [5] days away, and we just now finished our Holiday Cookies! Wow. But of course the wait was worth it, and with 84 done and pretty, Eddy can even take some to work. And we know how popular that will make him! d: (or SHOULD)
Now let's get to logistics. I LOVE decorating the cookies with my mom come the holidays. But this year, is the FIRST year, I will not be with my extended family for Christmas. Sad right? Well, kind've. But the fun and exciting part - -> I get to do all the fun traditions from my family, and the ones Eddy wishes to continue from his, with OUR family! So oh yes, Paetin got down to business and helped me make our Christmas Sugar Cookies. Cause without cookies, it just isn't Christmas. And she has been around my family long enough, to understand that. (Of course this rule also applies to cherry roles, and even Eddy is accustomed to that one already!)

37 weeks - Full Term!

Eek! I can't believe B.Po.3 is due in just under three [3] weeks! I mean, three weeks?? Egads! Where has the time flown to? Today marks Thirty-seven [37] weeks and one [1] day into our pregnancy. We are a little anxious to meet the new family member, and even more so to FINALLY learn the gender. Once again, leaving it a surprise has been so much fun, yet so enticing as well! ( : Here is to number three being full term! Any day now!

Robbie Came to Visit (:

Robbie came down to visit. Just for the weekend, but it was still so nice to have a buddy come down and hang out for a couple of days. He was supposed to fly in late, Thursday night, but his flight was cancelled. Sad day, right? So instead he flew in the next afternoon, making his already short visit, just a little bit shorter. ): But hey, he came, and fun was had. First  of all, he'd promised Paetin some M&M cookies. We can NOT say that he didn't deliver. We have so many cookies in our house now, I'm pretty sure that we won't have to buy any at all, anytime soon. (: She was so excited to have a wrestling buddy around. She sure clang to him right away, pretty much until the time that he left. It was actually pretty cute to see. (:

Meeting Santa, Take: 2!

Last  year the girls both met Santa for the first time. I have to say, it was a rather smooth experience. I had to bribe Paetin to hug him, and Camy cried the whole time, but none the less, it went okay. So much so, that this year, Paetin couldn't wait to meet him again!! So we decided to head to the park of lights and hop on his train, and say hello. Now if only it were that smooth right? Of course it wasn't! The line that seemed short enough took an hour and a half to get through, and might I say, with five kids (my brother's family was there as well) a long line in a windowless train, is hot, and exhausting! But alas, we made it through, and once again, my girls met the big jolly man of Santa. (:

Making Christmas!

Last year, you might not know or remember, but Eddy and I did not get a Christmas Tree. I flew home on Christmas Eve with both the girls to surprise family, and Eddy worked a lot that year. With things tight, we'd decided that since we weren't going to be home for our actual Christmas, we'd just compromise without a tree. So THIS year, is our VERY FIRST tree! Now, still things are tight for us. So I had to appeal to him as much as possible. Cause with a tree, comes lights, a stand, a skirt and, dun dun dun, ornaments. That's the tricky one. So, to budge my case of needing a tree for at least Paetin's sake, I'd decided to make our ornaments. (:

Elf Hats, Elf Hats Galore!

Mom brought down some elf hats for the girls. A green for Paetin, and a red for Camy. I had seen some photos of my friend's little newborn girl wearing one like this for a Christmas baby photoshoot, and I just absolutely ADORED it. So being the resourceful girl that I am, I asked my mom to make some for my kids. (:

A Trip to the Zoo (:

My mom and dad came down to visit for a week, Dec. 1st-9th. They brought my niece, Samantha, with them, and it was a ton of fun to have all of the littles together! For the first few days of their trip, they were watching my three nephews so my brother and his wife could attend his company Christmas party in San Francisco. Needless to say, six kids five-years and younger, was definitely something else!

For the weekend they had the boys, we decided to spend a day at the zoo! Man oh man was that an adventure we had!! We did all of the little things you can. We went to pet the sting rays, and even fed them too. Have you ever FED a sting ray? It is SO crazy weird! But amazing at the same time! They don't have teeth so they suck the food out of your hand, but this huge fin of a lip has to cover it first.. We'll just say, it was a little freaky at first! The four older kids had a blast with it though! And I won't deny, it was quite the rush for me as well. If only Camy and Andrew were big enough to have not had to sit in the strollers for that one. .  though I don't think we had enough hands to help them all reach the rays yet alone stick the arms in to feed them!
