Washington Fun in August 2011

The Polansky family took a four week trip up to Washington to escape some of the Arizona heat, and have some fun with the family! Eddy was only able to go up for the first week, since he had to get back to work, but there were still adventures to be had! ( :

Week One [1]:

With Eddy home for the first time since the move, we were busier than ever! My parents (who we were staying with) didn't even get much "quality" time with any of us that week! Whew - was it exhausting, but so worth it!
Eddy got to meet his niece, Tristyn, and nephew, Ethan, for the first time. As well as getting to see his sister for the first time in quite some time.. We went to the zoo for the day with his dad Dan and had a great time! We all wore sweaters, but those Washingtonians were all in shorts and tanks enjoying the "heat". LoL ( : We did a few things with friends, like BBQ-ing with Shelly and Loren, Bonfires with the Straub/Springer family, and family days like up to Cultus Lake Water Park with the kids in Canada!

Mikayla was so awesome and did our newest family photos for us! It was so nice to have her do them, and they turned out so colorful! I love it! I can't wait to have a set with our newest addition!
We had such a great time, and even got in some casino time for some spending cash! d : It was so nice to have Eddy home, but like usual, it went way to fast, with too much to do, and too little time to do it in!

Week Two - Four [2-4]:

These weeks are honestly a blur. I wouldn't be able to tell you what we did one week from the other, but we DEFINITELY stayed busy. Not much time to just hang out. I left all my afternoons open to be with my parents, as well as the weekends (until the lights went out) to be sure to spend time with them. In previous visits home, I've kinda just seen them when I see them, and since they helps us fly up, and you know, give us a place to stay, I made sure to give them time with us first.
After the girls were in bed, or my parents (whichever was first) I'd go out with some friends. And man is that nice! Considering that I'm a stay at home mom and most of my social life consists of baby talk and conversations with my 4-year-old, going out with the girls, or over for dinner was spectacular!!
We did karaoke at the Conway! I'd never done that before, GOSH it was fun! I had a nice girls night out, and did some dancing! Me and my belly can sure boogie! d :
I had a date with my dearest Shelly, she took me out to Anthony's in Anacortes, and I can't wait to go back with Eddy and have a double there! Everything on that menu is so worth the money, and I have to say, a night out with him without kids and another couple.. Mmm. Wonderful plan! ( :
I also met a new friend who I am SO glad I got to spend time with! She's as sweet as she is pretty. Sarah. I love the people in my life now. I find that surrounding myself with people who make me feel good is just so worth the effort over putting up with other things. I LOVE my WA friends. And I'm glad to have added a few new ones while I was home. <3 I love it when I meet new people with kids for the girls to play with too! It's so nice to have that in common with people as a parent.. well virtually, it's hard to be friends without that at times.
We of course went to Oak Harbor and visited grandparents, aunts and uncles. Did hedge mazes in LaConner, and Mom had a chair project to finish. And lets face it, I was not much help. All the help I was, was when she was tired or a little stumped, I busted out the yahtzee!
My sister had her annual end of Summer BBQ, and it was great to see some old family friends that I haven't seen in years! Which, is always nice. ( :

The last weekend in town we hung out at Bakerveiw Park with cake pops and chips for people to come by and say Happy 1st Birthday to Camy, or just come chat if they so wished. It was nice to see some friends that I hadn't seen other than that this trip. And bowling. Sunday night bowling with Shelly and Loren was so much fun! I can't wait to have more time with them! I miss it there so much sometimes, but it's always nice to have some distance as well.
Every Sunday I did a walk with the girls and my dad in the mornings while my mom worked. We went to Padilla Bay and Bowman's Bay, and even took Paetin to check out Rosario Beach (which is in a slow, long process of rehabilitation, yet still so cool).
When I say it like this, it seems like I didn't really do much, but I felt I didn't even have time to nap! LoL. It was a great trip, and we're definitely looking forward to all FIVE [5] of us going back in March for my cousins' wedding!  (:
